Xbox 360 3-Red Light Repair Manual – A Permanent Fix.
There are several games consoles currently on the market, but one of the most popular is the Xbox 360 from Microsoft. The Xbox was the first videogame console to be launched by Microsoft and has undergone numerous technological developments since its launch. The second Xbox model is the Xbox 360, which was introduced in 2005 and has loads more features than the original model. Unfortunately since its launch many users have had problems with the console’s hardware. The most common problems include overheating and the 3-red light error.
The 3-red light error refers to the three blinking red lights in the power ring when there is an error. They are basically the signal of a problem with the console. When an error happens the green lights around the power button turn to red, which is a warning sign. They are now famously known as the “Red Rings of Death”!
There are a number of reasons for seeing the red light error but the most common is the console overheating. This can occur when the heat sinks do not properly cool the hot air near the procesor, so the processor then fails. A number of factors can cause overheating. It can be casued by an increase in power consumption by the intercooler that makes the motherboard conduct more current through its circuit, or it could be caused by bad chip components in the motherboard.
Overheating can cause the GUI (Graphical User Interface) to fail and result in the 3-red light error. As well as the three glowing red lights around the power button an error message will probably show on your screen. The error message will probably show up as E74 but it could also be a different error message.
There are a few steps you can take to prevent the red light error from happening in the first place. One of them is to make sure there is enough air circulating around the motherboard to keep it cool, so that it doesn’t overheat. If you can maintain a constant temperature for a long period you shouldn’t experience the error.
If you are unlucky enough to experience the 3-red light error there are a number of ways you can fix it. You can send your console off to Microsoft if you want to wait weeks for it to be returned to you. Alternatively you can repair it yourself and save loads of time and money.
There are lots of Xbox 360 repair manuals available online to guide you through each step of the repair process but it is fairly simple and very quick to do. You can be back playing on your console in no time without experiencing the frustrating 3-red light error, and even better you won't have forked out loads of cash.
You do not even need any special tools to repair your console, just a set of screwdrivers and a repair manual with a video that you can download. Most red light errors are caused by little problems that do not need much technical expertise or time to repair them, but all the possible reasons and easy repair techniques are explained fully in an Xbox 360 3-red light repair manual and video tutorial.
