Who Was The F1 Monaco Winner In 2010?
Last weekend's F1 Monaco grand prix was one of the exciting races in past few years. There were skills, tempered flared, crashed and mechanical failures in this race. It got me all excited and thought I will go for a quick drive in my used Audi TT roadster or my sister's Audi Q5 which we bought from used cars garage not so long ago. It wasn't idea as it is definitely not as fast as the F1 machines and another thing is we live in UK where we are surrounded by speed cameras. So I should just stick to watch the race on TV other than drive an Audi in a 30mph road.
It was hot and beautiful in Monaco for the race. The circuit is 3.340km long and the race distance is 260.520km. The race started with the Australian Mark Webber in pole position of red bull team and just behind him the Polish Robert Kubica of Renault team. Behind Webber and Kubica was the talented German Sebastian Vettel in 3rd grid for a start. A lot of people are tipping the German (Vettel) to take the title this year after a wonderful 2009 season.
The race was interrupted few times, which brought safety car in to the track few times because of some horrific crashes. Mark Webber got in with a really good start alongside Vettel and they were running brilliantly in first and second place respectively. Webber was looking good and each time he pulled away from rest of the pack the race was interrupted by a safety car. Safety car made it even more interesting as Mark just couldn't get away. At the end of the race after 78 laps it was indeed the Australian who too the chequered just in front of Vettel and then Kubica who finished third.
Highlight of the race surely has to be Alonso's recovery from 23 positions to finish sixth, brilliantly done by the Spaniard after a horrible crash in the qualifying.
