Infiniti Wakes Up And Delivers A Convertible Car
For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the new 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible is now here! The Infiniti M30 was the first try by Infiniti at a Convertible, which did not go over so well.
The convertible gets a larger trunk to accomodate the roof, aluminum trim, and special sport seats. The G37 convertible comes loaded with great accessories like an automatic climate control, a wind deflector, seat with a heater in them, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system. The Futuristc Bose Stereo feature speakers that will balance themselves for better sound when the top is down on the G37 convertible. The Convertible features unique body panels which include three-piece retractable hardtop that folds under a tonneau cover into the trunk. You can drop the top on the G37 convertible in seconds.
It looks like Infiniti designed this car as a convertible from the beginning with its wide track and reinforced chassis to hold the convertible top and motors. The convertible weight ballons due to the retractable top and all the motorized hardware. Its 453lbs. heftier then the 2 door and more than 100 pounds. more that the 335i drop-top.
Engine wise, the Infiniti G37 convertible has a 3.7L V-6 motor produces 327-hp and 276lb-ft of torque.ft of torque. It comes available with a sport package and a standard six speed manual transmission or an optional seven speed automatic.
